Rock Crystal, or White Quartz, is a mineral composed of silicon dioxide. With a process called "hydrothermal", Quartz crystals form in the cracks and crevices (vacuoles) of silica-rich rocks. It is because of this process that it is also given the name "Rock Crystal".
